Quilters Dream 100% cotton. It's what they have at my local quilt shop...although I have used wool (love it) and the quilts we do for the hospital are 80 /20 warm and natural, I beleive.

Jacklynn Grimm said...

I use Warm and White for all of my projects. I like to buy it off the bolt, but now our Hancock's is closed I should just invest in an entire bolt!

I like to use wool batting best. It's light-weight, warm and shows wonderful stitch definition.

Pam said...

I use Warm and Natural, Warm and White and Quilter's Dream cotton.

Unknown said...

I am not sure. Its a 80/20 blend that is awesome for most projects. Its what the local shop stocks, and what we use for all the charity quilts

Ramona said...

I use warm and natural.

sewingnancy said...

I usually use an 80/20 cotton/poly batting. I don't know what brand as my LAQ provides it for me.

Victoria said...

Warm and Natural - it seems to work well for my needs (and temperament).

Diana @ Red Delicious Life said...

I've only used Warm & Natural (or Warm & White) but have recently discovered Quilter's Dream which I really like as well.

lalaluu said...

I really like Fusi-boo though it's hard to find since Joann's stopped carrying it.

linynp said...

I use warm and natural when I can get it at local shops. I like it best lovely drape and weight.

Sarah J said...

I typically use Warm & Natural!

I don't have a favorite batting, probably because I tend to buy what is on sale. Most of the stuff I use is polyester, but I also have some bamboo. I would like to try some cotton and see how it differs.

GO STARS! said...

I use Warm & Natural and bamboo blend usually.

Sewmom18 said...

I use mostly cotton batting.

I've usually used Hobbs Heirloon 80/20 (that's what I started with & the only option available locally to me for many years) but I now also have several others I've tried or I'm going to try.

I use Warm and White for my QAYG and Warm and Natural for other quilts. Sometimes it gets mixed together in my "leftovers" bag...

I am fairly new to quilting and have only finished 4 quilt tops. For all of them I have used Warm & Natural. Love cotton! kathleendotlutzatcomcastdotnet

I use Warm and Natural, preferably bought with a coupon from Joann. I have some polyester batting from back when I didn't know better and finally used the last of it. Never again. It was awful and bearded terribly, was slippery so it needed extra basting, etc.

Heide said...

I use Cotton, whatever I have. Really want to try wool batting. The quilt is much lighter and fluffier, from what I have seen.

KimB said...

I use Warm & Natural 80/20

I use warm and natural only, thanks for the giveaway!

MicheleVogel said...

I am still learning so I have only used one kind and sadly I don't even know what kind it is.

I use polyester because it's lightweight and less expensive. I've never tried Warm and Natural or cotton batting but I would like to.

JoanG said...

I mostly use cotton batting. I've also used cotton poly blends.

Cheryl said...

I use Warm & White and buy it by the roll so I can just cut off what I need. It results in less waste than buying cut packages of the batting.

Jereena said...

Warm and natural/white.

quilt455 said...

I use cotton batting for everything

Louise said...

I use Warm & Natural almost exclusively! I tried a fusible batting once, but it was really stinky and sticky :-(

Cotton or cotton blend. I try to find a coupon or sale to buy!

I love using 100% cotton batting. It clings to the fabric nicely , and I use safety pins to anchor it down.

Mania said...

Usually I use with polyester batting for small projects: mug rugs, wallhanging and thin cotton batting - 80/120 g blankets and large quilts. Unfortunately goods Warm Company are in my country very expensive

Veronica said...

Almost exclusively Warm and Natural & sometimes Warm & White or a wool. I buy my Warm &Natural by the huge round tube & love having it right there, in my home, ready for me when I have any size quilt batting to cut and use. 🤗

Havplenty said...

I like to use a poly/cotton blend because I find there is less shrinkage. I have used poly batting in my minis and my kid donation quilts. I have loved (used) this hand quilted tumbling block quilt I bought some 20+ years ago. Some of the blocks are now coming apart from wear and I find that the batting is a poly batting. There is something to be said about the durability of poly batting.

Cotton battings, I love the weight of heavier quilts, mostly Warm and Natural or Warm and White depending on if there is a lot of white in the quilt that would should the 'natural' through it.
