My original quilt was made entirely from only four different choices from the Artisan Spirit Shimmer collection by Northcott Fabrics. Even the backing and binding. You really have to see this fabric in person to appreciate it's true beauty. The browns all contain hints of gold metallic. The off white background, and dark grey paw prints in the border, each contain flecks of silver.

My second quilt was made entirely from stash. Even the backing and binding. I'm drawn to the blues and these prints have cute little paw prints on them. The sashing has little farm animals and implements.

This quilt along is open to everyone and I would like to encourage you to quilt along. You can make as many or as few blocks as you like. Make a quilt or make a mini. Make a cushion. A table runner. A bed runner! Make whatever your imagination leads you to make!
You don't have to follow the instructions letter for letter. Are you more of a scrappy quilter? Make your blocks using the scraps in your stash and have all of your blocks look unique! Are you more of a rainbow quilter. Make your blocks in all the colours of the rainbow!
Here are some examples of how your MOD Bear Paw quilt could look....

Looks like fun! Question: Does the Baby/Crib versions have the outer paws borders?
Hello Mefutch: No, the Baby and Crib size versions do not have the outer paw print borders.

I'd like to do the crib size. I think I will put a strip of the paw prints across the backing.
That is a GREAT idea, Joan! A strip of the paw prints would look fabulous in the backing!
I'd love to join in
I have one bear paw block from four years ago. Thanks for the encouragement to start again.
I finally got my fabric picked out so will be cutting this weekend. So excited. Aiming to make the lap quilt. 👍
