I have loved pussywillows my whole life, but cannot get them to grow in my yard. FQs are a great way to get a taste of a particular fabric.

I have a "go to" pattern that I use to make quilts using FQs. I then use my scraps to make pouches and bags.

I'm really into lap quilts right now for friends to use while sitting around the outdoor firepit on chilly evenings. They're quick, fun and I can use a ton of them!...or give them as gifts!

I love to use fat quarters for projects such as gift bags, purses, zipper pouches. I love the ability to have a diverse amount of fabric without having too much for a project. I love the look of mixing them.

Lovely fabric

TheGeek said...

I make precuts from my fat quarters! I cut most fat quarters I buy without a specific purpose into the following: 1 10" square, 3 5" squares, 4 2.5" squares, 2 5" by 10" rectangles, a 2.5" strip, and any remaining scraps into 1.5" squares.

A lot of those become quilts, and a lot become plush toys.
