Black and White Blog Hop!

Welcome to my stop on the Black and White Blog Hop!

This blog hop is going to be four days of fun, hosted by the lovely Carla of Creatin'InTheSticks

This little mini quilt was my second project I chose to make for the blog hop.

I'm so pleased with this fire hydrant block which suits these little black and white dog so well!.

I used corner tabs for hanging as this finished at 26 inches square.

And every once in a while you have a quilt that calls out to you looking for something extra. That's why I decided to make a flanged binding. You can find my flanged binding tutorial here.

This 38 " square quilt was my first project I chose to make for the blog hop.

Ironically, the background fabric was leftover from making the Smitten Kitten quilt

The backing fabric has been in my stash for so long. It is Follie by Lotta Jansdotter for Windham fabrics. And I chose this crosshatch print in grey for the binding.

Around here there have been lots of dog projects.
You can find the Dalmation Dog pattern here in my shop!

Very nice! I like these kinds of quilts. They’re very fun to do. I’ve done the cat block before and recently have finished the fox block. I’ll have to try the Dalmation one.

A Dalmatian quilt couldn't be any more perfect for a black and white blog hop. And the addition of the little red fire hydrant was just perfect!

Not long ago you mentioned designing a 'DIY" quilt - a little of all your tool designs. How is that coming? Love your designs. Made your guinea pig - aka hamster - quilt for my Granddaughter with matching pillowcase and she loved it.

Super cute! I am crushing on that binding, it really adds a pop! I'm going to have to give that a shot, soon!

Your quilts are always adorable and what could be better than b&w with a touch of red? The dogs and fire hydrant are perfect. It always cracks me up when my dog, Percy uses one. Enjoy the hop - I’m up Wednesday.

That is so cute and I absolutely love the red fire hydrant with all of the black and white. I also like the pop of red in the binding.

I have visited each blog on the Black and White hop and enjoyed each visit. I always leave a comment, it is fun to read them. Thank you for introducing me to all of the participants. I really like your new Dalmatians. And the fire hydrant is inspired! The flanged bindings are great. I started doing them following your tutorial and now am a whiz at machine bindings. They save so much time!

Your recent bursts of creativity and blossoming are wonderful and heartwarming, Lorna. I am so happy for you. Hugs.
