The weather has been really mild this past week or so. Which is nice... But it has also been very gloomy. The sky is hazy and the sun can't make it's way through!
To compensate, this week my sewing room has been overrun with a herd of rainbow reindeer...
I really do consider myself to be "print challenged". And spent most of last year working on overcoming that. But I have to admit... It sure feels good to get back in the "solids saddle" again.
Don't forget.... If you are quilting along... There is a never ending linky party here.
So come on and join in the Christmas party!
In the meantime, I have been busily sewing all of my own blocks into table runners and quilts. You can see my first finish of 2017 here. And there will be another coming in a post this Friday!
Now... It's your turn for Show and Tell!!!
What have you been working on?
- Click on at least a few of the others who have linked up.
- In your blog post, please include a link back to my blog.
- Grab the "Let's Bee Social!" button from above and put it on your sidebar. This way others who visit your blog that week can join in the fun! Share the news of this new linky and Let's Bee Social!
- Following Sew Fresh Quilts is not required. But it sure would BEE nice!

I love the bright color combinations! They all look great Lorna!
Thos reindeer are solidly cute! Will santa make an appearance in this quilt to keep those deer in line?
What a wonderful group/herd of reindeer. Each color combo is so pretty!
Squeal! I LOVE the herd of rainbow reindeer! OMG!!! I know I see some of those in my future!
Those rainbow reindeer are the perfect fix for gloomy weather! That's a fantastic response to your QAL...but I'm not surprised. Your designs are so adorable that there's sure to be a large crowd wanting to sew with you :) I always love seeing your blocks pop up in my IG feed.
Love, love, love all of your colorful reindeer! I can't wait to make some of those! Thanks so much for this quilt-a-long. You are so generous with your time and talent.
I am really enjoying your QAL! The weather should be prefect this weekend for creating some mittens :) I've loved watching your rainbow of reindeer come to life this week...are they magic reindeer? If so, once you have them sewn together the quilt might just fly off :)
What a beautiful pile of deer! Loving all the color and color combinations! The few times I use prints always makes me crazy...solids any day of the week for me! I totally get where your coming from!
Lorna, I love your rainbow reindeer!!
And you do solids so well. But it's not just that. Your crisp patterns are just made for solids. Especially any ones with animals, because they show off the eyes (which, in my opinion, show the personalities) so well.
I just love these reindeer Lorna - and the fact they are multi coloured just makes them cuter. I have my Christmas Stocking pattern all ready to make - just got to finalise the fabric!
What a super fun herd of rainbow deer! I love all of the different color combos!
What a herd! Smiling, smiling, smiling :) What a happy moment in my day!
I love these rainbow reindeer! This is the block I am most excited for!
I just finished making the Christmas stockings for the quilt along. Too dark for photos tonight but I will link up tomorrow.
But these Rainbox Reindeer are just too fabulous. I will have to make a wall hanging just of those guys!!
I have just been loving your colorful herd over on IG! Such great combos! I love seeing that pile of them!
There's enough reindeer to pull Santa's sleigh. Very cute.
I *love* the colour variations between the antlers and the heads. Very nice.
I have to say, I also love it when you get back to solids, these reindeer are beautiful, and so bright!!! So glad to know the QAL is going so well, keep up the good work!
You have made me smile over and over and over again with each romping rainbow reindeer. Great design, creative, happy, joyful, fun colors. I love each and every one! I made this pillow out of your deer (not reindeer) pattern for my son.

Mine is in realistic colors but if he were a girl I might have been more adventurous in my palette. Did I mention I like yours a lot?!!
