Koala Love

First of all, I got this email from my lovely friend Kathy....

Hi Lorna,

I hope you are well! I was wondering if you had any plans on creating a Koala bear pattern? If you are, I know you can’t tell me, but I hope you do! I have read about the devastating impact of the Australian wildfires on the Koala bears and I thought I would love to make a quilt with Koalas on it for a dear Aussie friend.

So I did.....

The Koala Love blocks are all finished, but I have not sewn them up into rows yet!

The Koala Love pattern is now listed in my shop.

After seeing the suffering that the Koalas and others are enduring in Australia, and having seen the links provided by Kristy Lea of Quiet Play on her Instagram, I have decided to contribute 50% of all sales for this Koala Love pattern, for the rest of 2019, to be donated to these two services:

Koala Hospital of NSW-Australia.

NSW Rural Fire Service.

Sometimes we are faced with things that seem impossible.

But with LOVE....

ALL things are possible.

Christmas Countdown of 2019

What happened?

I feel a bit like Rip Van Winkle.

I just woke up and all of a sudden......
