Today we're featuring Shop A!

I thought it would be cute to share some additional colourways for this design.

The original concept was for snowy rooftops and windowsills.

But I am really digging these floral and spring themed versions too!!!

I have long been a fan of solids.

But these solids paired together with this fantastic comic style fabric?

Wowza!!!

Bam!!!

It just hits ya right in the face and won't let you go!

There are 3 size options:
BABY - 40" x 47"
THROW - 58" x 58"
FULL - 80" x 94"

SHOP HOP Baby finishes 40" x 47"

Each SHOP block is either 18" or 22" wide by 47" tall.

SHOP HOP Throw finishes 58" x 58"

SHOP HOP Full finishes 80" x 94"
(using yardage)

 You can choose to use yardage....

Or make your quilt scrappy!

(using scraps)

Unlike all of my previous Quilt Alongs, this SHOP HOP Summer Quilt Along is not free and will require purchasing the pattern. 


There are 3 price OPTIONS:

$5 - BABY 40" x 47" includes Shop A and Shop B



$7.50 - THROW 58" x 58" includes Shop A, Shop B and Shop C

$15 - FULL 80" x 94" includes Shop A, Shop B, Shop C, Shop D, Shop E, Shop F, Shop G and Shop H

Lumber Jack & Jill

I'm a lumberjack and I’m ok....

This quilt makes me very very very happy.

Those silly faces look so fabulous.

The plaid shirts with pockets turned out so realistic!

And those crazy toques!!!

 

Quilted using a black/grey/white variegated thread on top and in the bobbin in organic wavy lines using my walking foot on my domestic sewing machine. 

The binding is this handsome grey text print and I added a couple strips to add interest to a side joint.

 

The backing is the remainder of the wide backing flannel used in Lumber Jills’ shirts. 

I can just see this pair hanging out in the woods together. No. Not chopping down trees with an axe.

But just standing there, with the length of a moose between them.

Doing their part.

Social Distancing.

"Lumber Jack & Jill" quilt finished at 50" square.

SHOP HOP QAL Pattern Release

My full size SHOP HOP quilt is finished!

I am so pleased with the fabrics and how they work together!

A big "thank you" to my son Russell for helping me with photos!

It's great to have the kids at home.

Why not put them to work?

These SHOPS all feature frosty, snow covered roof tops.

The same snowy fabric is used throughout the quilt on the roof tops, windowsills and doorsteps.

This awesome snowy print was also for the binding. 

It is called Birch Texture from the Sheltering Snowman collection by Barb Tourtillotte for Henry Glass Fabrics.

I quilted my organic wavy lines using a variegated thread on top and in the bobbin.

I love the little balconies!!!

This quilt fits nicely on a queen size bed.

The backing is Houses in Grey from the Snow Day collection by Lewis & Irene.

I used two 100" lengths and ran a seam up the center.

"SHOP HOP" Full size finished at 80" x 94"

The snow has ALL melted away from our neighbourhood.

And I have been seeing and hearing Robins.

It's official.
