W is for Winter Birds

Each morning I drive my son to work in Listowel. It's dark on the way there.

But on the way home the early light hits the clouds...

That stubborn autumn sun rises.

And once it's rays alit upon the hardwood trees.

Reflecting the golds, reds, oranges and last of the yellows.

I realize how much I really do have to be thankful for.

Thank you all for the congratulations left in the comments on my last post.
The 10K on Instagram should be a really big deal. But really - YOU are the big deal.

It's not about numbers.
It's about people.

The friends I have made in the last eight years of quilting and blogging are what I am truly thankful for.

I have been relying on the love and support of these friends - especially so in the last few years.

And I am so thankful to be here for YOU too.

I am Still Welcoming FALL!!!

And savouring each day...

But find myself now daydreaming of Winter Birds.

Another NEW ADDITION to the Back2School series has been added to my SHOP!

Each of my blocks finished at 10" square.

Stick with Leaves, Blue Jay, Cardinal and Squirrel.

Yes, my Blue Jay is against a grey background because he is going in a separate quilt.

I am using Cardinals, and the Birches fabric as my backing, to make a baby quilt.

The Blue Jay will be used to make a matching quilt with a grey background.

Both of these Winter Birds baby quilts are being made using the same instructions I shared in the "F is for Farm Fresh" quilt post.

Want to make your own Winter Birds quilt???

Here are some other suggested settings...

Winter Birds Cardinals 78" x 85"

Winter Birds Cardinals 78" x 85"

Winter Birds Blue Jays 90" x 90"

Winter Birds Cardinals 90" x 90"

You can find the "W is for Winter Birds" pattern here in my shop!

On another note...

I am still making Turtle blocks.

I now have four of eight Turtle blocks completed.
