Goodbye Sweater Weather

Do you remember this Sweater Weather quilt?

I made this quilt and blogged about it in this post of October 2017

Sweater Weather was the result of being invited to submit a quilt for Quilty magazine. I used the Ugly Christmas Sweaters and revised the blocks to make them larger - life size even! And then added Mittens and Hats.

Imagine my surprise when it landed on the COVER!

I was so proud and HAPPY! What an enormous compliment!

And then I think back to my trip to Houston Texas Quilt Market that I took part in that year. I was in Houston when my quilt was hanging at the Quilty magazine booth for the week. And I picked it up for the long drive back home at the end of the show. You can read about my Adventure to Texas and back with my sister here.

But why is this quilt laid out with the magazine now? And what are all the patterns about?
The Sweater Weather quilt was listed for sale in my shop. And it sold.

To a repeat customer. (My favourite kind of customer!)

You see.... The Ugly Christmas Sweaters was my first finish for 2016, and Theresa purchase it in August of that year.

I thought it would be nice to include my personal copy of the magazine, and a few patterns as a thank you gift. I am so touched that someone loved the first quilt they got from me so much.... They bought another!

THANK YOU SO MUCH THERESA!!!
