Looking back, it seems the quilt was waving goodby even then.
Back in September, I had entered this remake of my original Fox & Friends quilt into the Fall fair. And won first place in the machine quilted baby quilt section. That is where Maggie met and fell in love.
Maggie contacted me by phone, wanting to purchase the quilt for her yet-to-be-born grandchild. She arranged to come for a personal visit and pick the quilt up at my home. Maggie spoke of her admiration for the simplicity of the design. The blue background and wavy organic quilting reminded her of the sea. Fox & Friends 2 will soon be on it's way to live in Scotland.
First I had to retrieve the quilt. It was hanging in the fabric shop in Newton where I had agreed to teach a quilt class coming up in January. Will there be a Fox & Friends 3?
