Introducing my Triangle Quilt Along baby quilt... Completely completed!
I started quilting by stitching in the ditch around the focus triangle.
Quilting Detail |
Then I spiral quilted around this block, alternating between 1/4" and 3/4" spacing.
Spiral Quilting |
And then returned to that focus triangle to add one final outline of quilting inside the triangle.
Machine finished binding in blue with white polka dots.

Backed in a fresh flannel print, I really love how this one came together.
Working with all those bright colours has been such a pleasure.

I am so happy with this sweet quilt. And feel it could qualify as unisex.
In spite of the pink, the overall feel leans toward the baby blue elements.
This quilt is now listed in the Sew Fresh Quilts Etsy shop!
Although I showed in this post that I did have an easy job of cutting all the pieces for this quilt by using my AccuQuilt GO! cutter, this same quilt could be made without any special rulers or dies.

Here are my tutorials for those...

Well Lorna...this turned out amazing! I love the pointy corners, and you binding turned out amazing. I'm kind of speechless.
such a colourful quilt and you have certainly quilted it, I am afraid I have done very little quilting on mine, the bare minimum!
Love the quilting idea!
Great quilting idea! I'm not up to quilting mine yet, which is a good thing since I have no idea what to do on it.
Hi Lorna! Fantastic and so delicious quilt! Great job with all the corners! x Teje
Fun and bright! I like your quilting. I better work on mine, lol.
I imagine that binding was hard to do, Lorna. Love the look of the edges!!! A beautiful quilt.
The quilting was truly the finishing touch to your lovely quilt.
it looks fantastic! I love the bright colours. Have you left a section unquilted? I can't quite tell from the photograph, but the bottom left looks unquilted.
I like the way you quilted this - it goes with the pattern of the quilt so well
Gorgeous quilt ~ I love the way the back totally matches the front! Love the spiral quilting, too ~ will have to put that on my to-do list!
So pretty! I love that you left the angled sides. I wasn't brave enough to do that with mine. And that quilting is super fun, I'll have to keep that concept in mind for my next triangle quilt.
What a stunning finish! I am loving the quilting you did. You had such a brilliant idea... Must try that on one of my quilts.
Very nice Lorna. Such fun bright colours and fabulous quilting
This is so bright and happy. The backing fabric is the perfect choice. Nice finish!
The binding makes me drool; I've tried an angled binding once, and yours is so well done. The colors are so bright and cheery, and the quilting is just perfect.
Delightful! Very clever quilting :)
Fabulous quilt all the way around!! Love it!
I never would have thought to spiral a triangle. It looks amazing. Congrats on getting it completely completed. :D
Oh my gosh Lorna, this quilt has it all - such great colors and what a fun way you finished! Love it! -Letty

Oh it's so bright and cheerful! Love the untrimmed edges!
I think you are a quilting dare devil and this binding seals it! You go where I am not brave enough to tread!
Lorna - spectacular as always! So fun and bright! Great Finish!
Very nice Lorna! Square, smare! You showed the square that it just doesn't always have to be the star of the show! :)
I love how you chose to quilt this, Lorna - starting with that one block and working out is really neat!
Great quilting on that quilt!
Very very pretty and super job with the quilting!
Love the colors of your quilt and the quilting is great too! Just gorgeous.
Another inspiring finish Lorna...inspired by your binding....serious, I don't think I'd have the patience!!
You have the most incredible eye for colour. I absolutely love this quilt and appreciate your tutorials, which are clear and easy to understand.....Thank you.

Wow! I just love the way you quilted this!!! So creative. Looks fabulous Lorna, thanks for quilting along:)
Well done!!! Pretty quilt, cool quilting, and if it had been me I mighta squared up the edges instead of bothering with all those corners. I'm glad it was you, 'cause the jagged edge looks great.
This quilt looks so summery & happy. I love the cheerful fabrics, the quilting and how you did the edges of the quilt. It's a beauty!
A quilt of beautiful colors and quilting!
So beautiful! I love the bright, happy colors! I am planning a triangle quilt for the "near" future and have been thinking of quilting it in a similar way. I love that quilting! And your binding is SO cool.

Simply beautiful! I love how you left the edges instead of trimming them straight!
Lorna, those edges are just the best,I love them! Maybe I will get brave and try that some time... Also love your quilting it just makes the triangles pop out!
Such a happy and colorful quilt! And the quilting looks awesome!

Such a fun quilt. Reminds me of hot summer days. Which isn't the case in Minnesota right now. We have rain, winds and cold weather all week.
Gorgeous quilt Lorna! Hey, quick question... did you switch from wordpress to blogger for your blogging? Just curious.
Absolutely fabulous Quilt and Oh the quilting is amazing. Binding is out of this world.
Lorna, this is beautiful! I love the colours and the binding is perfect. It gives an extra special touch.
I love how this one turned out. All of those bright happy colors will make any baby smile.
