Let's Bee Social #138

This is it! The countdown is on!

Tomorrow night I will be heading to Harriston to set up my booth at the curling club. And then I will be spending all day Friday and Saturday hanging out at the International Plowing Match Quilt Show. I am so excited! And also a bit nervous.....

I have made a list and am checking it twice or more.....

So to alleviate my nervousness, I cut into some fabric and am making my way through the Kissy Fishy pattern. I have been stitching up my blocks and this is now a finished top....

Maybe I can manage to get this one quilted in time for the show!

I can't help it.... This is not a quilt, but it is something I am tremendously proud of. My daughter, Erin was in a competition this past weekend for the Brussels Fall Fair Ambassador and came in as First Runner Up.

The five girls who were in the competition spent the day getting their makeup done, providing an interview to a panel of three judges and enjoying a nice meal together. In the evening, guests were invited to enjoy hearing about the upcoming 155th Fall Fair and to listen to each of the participants provide a speech.

Erin later explained that she had a wonderful time and enjoyed the process so much she intends to participate again next year. She is going into grade 12 this fall and will be 17 at the end of this month.

And this showy flower is now bursting with these gigantic blooms following the much needed rains we are now getting. The orange string is baler twine I have tied around the plant to keep it from falling over.

It's your turn for Show and Tell!!!
What have you been working on?

Erin, Congratulations, We don't need a quilt to see how beautiful you are. .. A booth at the curling club, is this an indoor one, and the plowing, a huge area of land for the competitors. You will do Absolutely Fabulously!! ( Just not at the wheel of a tractor)
