Got to admit....
I have been really, really good, using up fabrics from my stache during the past two years. But every once in a while you need to freshen things up and acquire something new.
Back in January....
Christmas fabrics were on sale at Ye Olde Fabric Shoppe in Stratford, Ontario.
Finish the bolt for an additional 10% off?
OKAY!
And then my sister and I recently went for a drive to nearby London, Ontario.
Picked up these sweet pieces of yardage at the Grand Re-Opening of Stache Fabrics & Notions.
Thank you for being such wonderful, amazing, generous, beautiful quilty friends!
I must say purchasing new fabric is AMAZING!
But what is even more amazing is YOU!!!!
This email from Julie Vogel arrived shortly after publishing my post:
Super Size - The Math - How to resize any traditionally pieced quilt block
"I recently saw your blog about enlarging some of your patterns, in particular the foxes. Turns out I had already done that and flipped them so as to make mirror images for my Mama Fox and Kits quilt. Here are some pictures of the finished project. I am so pleased with it and appreciated working with such a great fox pattern!
If you would like to share it in any way, you are welcome to. Thank you!"
Aren't they adorable?!!!
Julie, YOU are AMAZING!
Thank you all so much for sharing your photos and stories with me!
UPDATE!
Thanks to all your AMAZING efforts in our fundraiser that continued until the end of January!
In addition to the original total of $1155USD, during 2019, that was split between the NSW Koala Hospital and Rural Fire Service Australia.....
WE ALSO RAISED AN ADDITIONAL WHOPPING $1370USD, for the NSW Koala Hospital in Australia.
Truly, I am AMAZED at how the entire quilting and crafting community has rallied together to help in Australia's time of need.
THANK YOU!!!!

Love the fabrics!! especially the birds and the words :)
Lovely fabric acquisitions! Just got some great deals myself. Your quilt meme had me laugh. I have a similar one about buying fabric here: https://livelylatte.blogspot.com/2020/02/so-many-scores-and-giveaway-on-way.html . I thought it was pretty appropriate to my shopping adventure. Great job on the fund-raising!!
A sale, and end of bolt, good reasons to acquirer more fabric, and we all know it will never go amiss in the quilting department.Love the top one with those birds, beautiful.
Oh just like fabric I hoard patterns--had to order Foxes --so darn cute...I am not a terrific piecer, but am going to try this hugs, Julierose 000;
Kudos on the fundraiser! That is just awesome! Yes, I'll admit it, I induldged in a few fabric sales myself. I swear, I could probably open a fabric shop with all the fabrics I have. My problem is I don't want to let any go!
Oh I do like a bargain, and they are so hard to resist when on a buying freeze, I love the grey with the tiny robins.
