Harry Potter Quilts:
Theme: Entries are quilts that are based on the stories of Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. All styles of quilts are welcome –appliquéd, art, modern, painted, pieced, wholecloth, etc. We found a couple of patterns introduced in 2019 as a sew-along: Harry Potter Quilt Along 2019 from Sew Fresh Quilts and Kelli Fannin Quilt Designs through Fat Quarter Shops. Or design your own Harry Potter quilt based on the characters and locations the world has come to love. A juried selection of quilts will premiere at International Quilt Festival 2020, Houston. Only quilts based on the Harry Potter book series will be considered for inclusion in the exhibit.
Categories: One overall category - appliquéd, art, modern, painted, pieced, wholecloth quilts will be considered.
Limit on entries: You may entry up to three (3) quilts per person.
Size of entries: Each work must measure at least 44”x44” and no larger than 106”x106”. However, it is preferred that the quilt be no taller than 90 inches (228.60 cm). Each entry must have a 4in (10 cm) finished sleeve or casing sewn to the top back edge of the quilt (please include a .125 in/.377 cm ease in the sleeve or casing). Sleeves should be secured with stitching at the top and bottom edge, and at each side. A cloth label with the entrant’s name, address, telephone number, and email must be securely sewn to the back of the quilt, bottom left side.
Now... It's your turn for Show and Tell!!!
What have you been working on?
