Let's Bee Social #172

Welcome to the Let's Bee Social!
So glad to have you join us for the Let's Bee Social weekly linky party!

This week I am working on testing a new pattern. It's the Forest Friends 2 design that I showed in a blog post quite a long time ago. But I had never gotten around to writing the pattern. Apparently it got posted to Pinterest and was making it's way around there. This prompted a lot of people to write to me asking where they could find the pattern. So I buckled down and got to work on the hard part. And then RJR Fabrics graciously offered to sponsor this project using their latest collection - Hopscotch by Jamie Fingal.

So far I have tested these four blocks. The Bobcat...

The Cardinal....

The Blue Jay....

The Big Horn Sheep....

The Forest Friends 2 design is compatible with the original Forest Friends design. Both patterns include a Twin size and Baby size option. All the block sizes are the same, so the blocks are interchangeable and therefore the design possibilities are endless!

In the Twin quilt size, as shown above, is the Forest Friends with the American Eagle block. But this pattern also includes the Canadian Beaver block, as shown below in the Baby size.

The original Forest Friends pattern is available here in my shop.
And the Forest Friends 2 will be added real soon!

Now... It's your turn for Show and Tell!!!

This is beautiful!! Especially love the mountains block - the rabbit - Blue Jay and Cardinal - and that it is interchangeable with your Forest Friend 1 quilt - you are right, the possibilities are endless. Another amazing piece of art - and with traditional piecing - thank you, Lorna!!

Guess the people have spoken and they need more Forrest Friends :) I love the new additions, especially the Cardinal and Blue Jay.

Lorna, I just love your sampler quilts, and this one is no exception! The cardnials and blue jays make me miss home... spotted a lot in my old stomping grounds. That bunny is just so cute... it sure would be a good one for an Easter project. Looking forward to seeing more!

Hi Lorna: What a fabulous addition to the already wonderful animals in the collection! I want the Forest Friends 2 pattern to make a baby quilt for my grandson coming in June. Can you tell me how soon it will be available, at least approximately? I'd like to have it completed by his birth in mid June if at all possible! You do great work and are very talented! God Bless.
