Welcome to the first day in this week of the GREAT BIG giveaway!!!
When it comes to labeling your finished quilts...
How do you fare?
Do you bother to label them at all?
How about totes and pouches?
I got my quilt labels from IKAPRINT. There is always a link to their site at the end of my finishes posts and I do receive a small commission on all sales using this link. Thank you to anyone who has ever used it. Every little bit helps!
It was back in July of 2014 that I received my first order of 100 quilt labels from the IKAPRINT store. It was in this post that I shared how much I loved my new labels and showed off how they looked on a newly finished GenX-Aztec quilt. I used my 33rd label from that 100 label order when I finished my Zany ZebraZ quilt and had our first label giveaway. The Little Blooms in Kona finish brought me to a total of 44 labels used.
Now 100 labels may seem like an awful lot of labels. If you only use them for larger projects like quilts, they will last you a long, long time. I used the remaining last few labels from my first order just this past week when I added them to the back of some mini mini quilts. And then started into my second order of 100 labels when I made even more mini mini quilts!
I ordered the 1 1/2" size. This refers to the width of the label. And the 5/8" refers to the height. So when folded the labels are a little bigger than 1/4" and the "sew fresh quilts" shows from the front. The "by Lorna McMahon" is only seen if you flip the label up.
These labels are made by Fatih Demirtas of IKA Products. Fatih is based in Paris, France.
She make the most handsome and stylish bags and totes. And blogs about them here on her site.
You see..., I don't make the labels. I had been providing a storefront for ordering the labels from my site. But now Fatih has an updated site and all the labels are ordered directly through her.
To celebrate, she has generously offered to sponsor a giveaway that includes 100 labels of your choice and includes the cost of shipping!

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 427 of 427I've only labeled a couple of my quilts but should start labeling all of them!
I label the quilts that I give as gifts, with printable fabric. However I need to start labelling the ones I have made for my own household also.
I do not currently label my quilts but I would love to do it.
I believe labelLing my quilting projects is very important. I've always free motioned my name and date. Wow, real labels would be a dream for me.
I don't label my quilts 😞
I very rarely label my quilts (hanging my head in shame!)
I usually forget to label my quilts
I make labels for some of my quilts. Usually graduation gifts, or quilts for family. For most others, the labeling step just gets skipped. I have often thought that a simple ribbon label would make this step easier, and less of a process.
Thanks for offering this give away.
I do label my quilts. I use my embroidery machine to create a label, but would like to have smaller ones so I can label smaller items.
I do label my quilts!
No, but I want to start
I am finishing my first one and made a label but these would be so much nicer!
I EMBROIDER A LABEL AND THEN PIECE IT INTO THE BACKS OF MY QUILTS.

While I try to, labels only end up on my gifts to others, or a very time consuming and cherished quilt. It is tooooo fun to begin another project and I don't take the time to label what I have finished.
I have several quilts completed that really do need labels... Thanks for the chance to win!
Once in a while I do, but most of the time I don't.

Yes, I do label my quilts. I make a custom embroidered label with the pattern name, whether it was machine or hand pieced and quilted and the month and year it was completed. I have been wanting a small label like these for lots I sell though. Thanks for the chance to win!

Its on my to do list.....start labelling...
I do keep a scrap book with piccis and notes though
I love her labels, and I need more!
Only about half of the time.
I try to label them but sometimes I forget . Love your labels.
I labeled my first ever quilt using freezer paper to stabilize a piece of fabric and writing on it with a micron pen. I forgot to label my second as I was in a hurry to gift it. Labels would help cuz I am not on my third with a few others started. Plus the Ikat labels look so professional
I should label them but I don't. This is a fantastic opportunity to start!
I label my quilts. Thanks for the opportunity. acbeier71@gmail.com
Yes, I ordered labels in different colours a while ago. Don't have many left, though.
Thanks for the chance to win!
