But this is my third time making the Fox & Friends equilateral triangle quilt. This quilt will be the sample quilt brought to class when I teach at the Kincardine Sunset Quilters' Guild this fall. It was just as much fun making this time as it was the first. And it was a much quicker process! Experience can work in my favour if not too much time has passed. You can see the first Fox & Friends here and the second finish here.
I chose a darker grey for the raccoons and one darker shade of blue for the background. But all are Kona Cotton Solids. Would have gone with a green background this time..... But the backing fabric persuaded me into sticking with the blue!
The owl minky backing was still in (my stash) from the second quilt made back in September of 2014. I could not resist using it again. It's so soft! And suits the colours of the front so well.
And for the binding, I wanted to change things up a bit. Last time I used Kona Black for the binding. This time I dug into and picked out this lovely blue Chicken Wire Texture from the Bright and Early collection by Evelia for Wilmington Prints. Gives it a softer edge and blends in so nicely with the background. This print hasn't been hanging around for long. I just picked it up in May from Sew Sisters Quilt Shop during their Mother's Day Sale.
This Fox & Friends quilt was the 50th use of my 100 labels
ordered from Ikaprint.

The backing is so super cute and I can see why you chose to stick with a blue background! Wow, and you are already halfway through your labels - that is awesome!
I love the racoons eyes the most in this quilt - brilliant fun design - also like your tasher logo!
I have rarely made a quilt pattern more than once, the exceptions to this is the log cabin and the double wedding ring because with different layouts for the log cabin it looks different and for the wedding ring because I was asked for a present.
Well that was fast! Do you sleep? It looks just adorable --again ; )
This one is just as cute as the other ones too! The backing is perfect.
I rarely make more than one quilt of the same pattern, unless I am making them at the same time. If I make one a second time, I have to change it up so it looks very different. Your are at the halfway point with your labels! Good for you!
Cute, cuter, & cutest! Congrats on your 50th!
I like the small changes you made in the quilt this time. I do not like to make the same quilt more than once. Table Runners are the exception but I will use a different fabric with the same pattern. Congrats on the 50 mark. Debbie
I think this is my favorite Fox & Friends yet! I love that backing. :)
Love this quilt - my girls just caught a glimpse and rather oohed and aahed aswell! I especially like the racoons eyes all looking in different directions!
Love it love it! The first one is good and the this one is GREAT!
I cannot imagine this with green! I LOVE the blue so! I am sure your class will be a big hit! How appropriate that this would receive such a "landmark" label! Which will get the 100th? hmmmm.....
A D O R A B L E!!!! Seriously....have fun teaching your class too!
Congrats on already making it through half your labels, you are going to have to order more soon :) I really like the binding, it works perfectly with the quilt top.
One of my favourite designs, Lorna! Good luck and have fun teaching your class. :o)
I do love this quilt. So cute. And I really like that wavy quilt design too, I'm going to have to try it.
