These two little chicks are just too darn cute!
The quilting was performed using my walking foot, in closely spaced organic wavy lines, using Superior Threads' Omni #3023 in Light Gray thread in both the top and the bobbin. This thread blended perfectly with the background and was so subtle you can barely notice it.
For the binding I used my remaining Katie Stripe in Midnight by Beauty Queen. It's not black, but a very dark navy blue and blends in nicely with the grey background and the blue backing. For the backing I used a matching Widescreen in Pacific, left over from making this Giggles Up quilt.
These little mats were the 37th and 38th use of my 100 labels ordered from

Don't they look sweet as a set, paired up with the Pretty Piggy table runner? You can find the instructions for the Pretty Piggy and Corn Cob blocks here.

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 212 of 212Ah...baby chicks...too cute.
Would make some nice pillows for the bed.
If I win the fabric, I would use it in my Farm Vintage quilt that I am making to thank my childminder for nearly 10 years of service when she will retire in Dec :-(
If I had this bundle I would either make a baby girl quilt or it would push me over the edge to join in the farm girl sew along. ktsquiltdreams [at]gmail [dot]com
I don't know what i would make yet.
Cute fabric! I would make as many table runners as I could from the fabric and give them to my kids. (Of course, one might happen to stay at my house.)
what else but some of the vintage blocks into a quilt...lovely
i follow through email
I love these projects! I would make a summer tote if I were to win the bundle. Thank you Lorna.
I'm dreaming of a pretty lap quilt made from these lovelies. The colours are just so lovely! Thanks Lorna and FQS for the chance to win.
