Let's Bee Social #60

Awww....  Sweet and simple.  That's what I needed this week.  Some sweet pinks and some simple piecing.

42" x 48" pink baby girl crib quilt
Things around here have been somewhat stressful due to the intense weather conditions and I just needed to sit down and sew!  Ahhh....  Therapeutic patchwork....

I dug into my stash of 3.5" patchwork squares, cut previously and stored in a little bin on my shelf, just waiting for such an occasion.

And arranged them on my design wall in a 42" x 48" finished layout.  Then I was able to melt the stress away by sitting and peacefully piecing.

Soothing sweet fabric patches....  Just what the doctor ordered.

That's better.  Got my fabric fix!

NOW.... Let's PARTY!!!!
What's new with you?

That is a lovely combo Lorna. I was about to precut for frog but I ended up making something else instead :)

Adorable pink and scrappy quilt. Yes, sometimes simple says it best and it definitely makes for good therapy! I hope you thaw out soon!

Very sweet indeed Lorna! Any thoughts as what your going to do with it? Quilting? Who will sleep sweet underneath it? Jen

The Colors are perfect - not to pink. Love it!

Hi Lorna! That looks beautiful! I wish I could do the same, that therapy is needed here, too. Have a great day! x Teje

Yes, I did that earlier last year...just simple squares, so therapeutic. Love your choice of colours, just right.

How sweet! And that is just how I feel getting back to some simple and organized piecing, after all the scrappiness of last week! Just the pleasure of the fabrics while we sew is wonderful, isn't it!

This is so timely. I have 500 3 1/2 in square that I want to do a basic patchwork with. It is a gift. When you do something like this do you piece one row at a time or do you make blocks and sew those together? I was thinking of doing four squares to a block and combining those. What is more accurate for piecing, in your opinion? Thanks Lorna!

What a very sweet pink delight! I am so wanting to piece together something, but haven't been inspired yet! I hate that! The weather here is awful...Tennessee and ice do not go together ~ ever!

I love that patchwork! I have a bunch of squares I should do that with too. So many projects....

The fabrics you chose for the crib quilt are lovely, and I love that you chose to do a simple patchwork with them. It lets the fabric shine.

Oh, your quilt IS sweet, and this from someone who's usually not all that enamored with pink. What a fun project for you to chase away the winter stress!
