Let's Bee Social #17

Welcome to this week's social linky party!  If you are not sure what Let's Bee Social is all about, you can read the details here.

Last week I shared a photo of the strips I had cut from my Charley Harper organic prints from Birch Fabrics.  It is not easy to cut into those prints!

Since then, they have been pieced into rows and joined into a quilt top, basted and quilted.
Now let me tell you...  It's even harder to cut into them once again!

But I promised my mom I would make her a quilted jacket like the one I made for myself back in March.  You can see that jacket here.  I hope to have my mom's jacket finished in time for her birthday on May 5th.

In other news.....
Announcing the winner from last weeks sponsored giveaway!

NOW.... What's new with you?
I am sew looking forward to visiting with all my quilting friends!

well I finished one small table topper and it is now on the table and I continue on my large quilt on the frame - it is getting closer and closer to finish. Love the Charlie Harper fabric and all sewed in strips and ready to be cut again is interesting.

You will get it done! And your mom will love it too!

Very nice. I hadn't thought about the fact that you have to make a quilt to cut it up for these jackets. Yikes! I'm not sure I could do that. It's going to look so pretty though.

I adore this fabric I am looking for the best price and I am buying the entire line......... plus the AG solids to go with it. I see how hard it would be to cut, but it looks fabulous

I'm sure your mom will love the jacket. But I think it would kill me to cut up the fabric too.

So much work going into the jacket. I hope it'll all work out just at the first one you made. Fingers crossed.

Your lucky Mom! This one looks like it will be just as beautiful as the first one. Do you think she will model it in her birthday suit, or are you the only brave one in the family? Lol
