All the way back to April.
It's not that I haven't purchased anything since then. I either just stash them away or cut right into them. But they really are photo worthy. Sew here goes!
I have been stocking up on Kona Cotton Solids from Mad About Patchwork for months now. I am trying to keep a snip of each fat quarter accumulated. The name of each colour is included on the snippet and I plan to somehow organize them to be able to reorder more whenever I think of a new project to use those yummy solids in.
My last order included quite a few one yard cuts of some of my fave colours. Perhaps I will choose another colour combination to remake my Ohio Stars in Solids quilt.
The pattern is now for sale in my pattern store.
Somehow this cute combination for a "backing and binding someday" also ended up on my last order. From the Snug As A Bug collection, Words in Cream and Snails in Aqua, both by Melly & Me for Riley Blake Designs.
Really. I do love text prints. And aqua. And those little bitty snails.
Other fabric acquisitions include this little "something special" for the backing and binding on my Wild Life quilt top. I searched online and found these two cute prints from Fabric Spot. What great service... Ordered on the holiday Monday (Canada Thanksgiving) - they were delivered on Wednesday! And I love them!
For the backing, from the Forest Friends collection designed by Ingrid Slyder for Moda - Forest Friends Toss in Pebble. And for the binding - Forest Friends Birch Trees also in Pebble.
Sometimes you just can't find everything you want - all in one place. From the Just My Type collection by Patty Young for Michael Miller Fabrics, we have a large chunk of Letterpress in Multi from Mad About Patchwork. And two clever binding options, Color Keys in Breeze and in Multi, both from Fabric Spot.
And just for good measure. Some dots. You can never go wrong with Polka Dots.
Keep On Quilting On!

The itty bitty snails are super adorable, and I definitely agree that you can never go wrong with polka dots!
I am in love with that snail backing and binding. Just too cute!
Hi Lorna! These are all so beautiful! I love the letters, foxies and snails! Great idea to keep a scrap of solid with it's name. x Teje
lovely quilt, solids work so well but my stitching is not good enough for them yet. you have purchased some beauites here a good range of fabrics which I am sure will soon be made up into delicious quilts
What do I love more than Lorna's fabric? Seeing what Lorna turns it all into ... :)
Beautiful quilt! Love the solid colors you chose. Love your fabrics you shared! Had to lol when I saw the critters on the Forest Friends fabric. Every single critter on that fabric have visited our house in the past 4 days. Only one is missing.....the coyote. But understandably it would not be a "cute" critter on fabric. lol
Oh, Margaret. Jump in and use those gorgeous solid fabrics. Your stitching does not have to be perfect. After all, if we were all perfect what would we have to strive for? Use those great fabrics and I promise you will not be disappinted. Your stitching will not show. Let us know how that goes. :)
Love those fabrics and especially the polka dots!! Your Ohio Stars quilt is beautiful!
What a striking quilt! Just gorgeous. Very fun purchases. I too have made some fun fabric choices. Enjoy
Oooooh I love your Ohio Stars in solid as, very striking!!! I think I should add that pattern to my Quilt Bucket List!!! Love your fabric choices too! Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see what you make with them!!
Great fabrics, I love the text print you got.
Such a yummiest fabric and quilt.Have fun playing with them!
Love, love, love those snails!
Love those snails and polka dots. I need to build my solids up as I have pretty much depleted them. I use mostly solid for bindings. I think I need to venture out on that.
Love your Ohio Star quilt! What a great way to collect fabric samples, a yard at a time! LOL!
Love your newest quilt pattern! It's gorgeous!!!
What a pretty addition! Your quilt looks great! Well done Lorna!
