Let's Bee Social #72

If you were here for last week's Let's Bee Social....
I just bet...  you can easily guess...  what these Kona cotton solids are for...

More Hillside Houses....

The Hillside Houses quilt along is run by Cristina of Pretty Little Quilts.

This is my FIRST experience following a pattern designed by someone other than myself. It's a strange feeling to pick up a pattern and start from the beginning. But I am enjoying this Quilt Along immensely. It's a lovely way to spend some time in the sewing room. Very relaxing and a lot of FUN!

Last week I showed you my first block...

And today I am happy to show you my finished 2nd block....

And my 3rd block....

Three little big beautiful houses at the base of the hillside!

If you are interested in the Hillside Houses quilt along, Cristina's first post announcing the quilt along can be found here.  And the post for the instructions for the first block can be found here.  The instructions are posted each Wednesday on Cristina's blog.  Just in time to Bee Social!

Now Let's PARTY!!!!
What's new with you?

What is the Let's Bee Social???  You can read the details here.

Almost forgot to mention...
In case you missed it from Friday's post...

Your houses are looking great together! I think it is amazing that this is your first experience working from someone else's quilt patterns. It is a totally different experience, isn't it?

Love your houses. I have downloaded all the patterns so far, but have not yet started. I don't have many solids, and am trying to decide whether to buy some or to dig through my stash and see what i can come up with.

Love those big houses! You jumped right in and caught up fast. What a great color scheme. It is amazing that this is your first time sewing someone else's pattern Lorna. That says a whole lot about your own creativity!

I really want to do the houses! Been printing it out, but I will not be able to do them for awhile - it'll be a big catch-up week this summer!

Those houses are really cute, and they would fit in with Newfoundland's 'Jellybean Row' with those beautiful colours!

love the house blocks but they do take some planning for color, no? I am not so good with planning... but I want to make them too. I guess you must color in your plan before even starting right? LeeAnna
