ONE MORE THING...
Before we get into the instructions for today's block...
For those of you who have been quilting along and don't want the fun to end or who want more Christmas quilt blocks to add to their quilt, I wanted to let you know about this new Christmas quilt along that begins soon.
I was reading about the "I Wish You a Merry Quilt Along" over on Yvonne's Quilting Jetgirl blog. This is perfect for those who have been taking part in the Have a Jolly Little Christmas QAL, which is soon coming to an end. The block designs are all 12" so you can mix and match!
Click here to check out the post for all the details!!!!
Moostle Toe is a 12" quilt block.
Made using traditional piecing methods.
Finished size of block is 12” x 12”
Read through entire instructions before beginning. Press all seams open as you go.
STOP: Stitch, Trim, Open & Press. To perform the STOP method, align a square (A) or rectangle (C) on the corner of the unit (B) with right sides facing together. Draw a diagonal line and sew along this diagonal line. Trim a ¼” seam. Finger press the seam open and then press with a hot iron. Pressing the seams open to reduce bulk is recommended.
Step 1: Sew the White and Dark Brown (B) squares together. Add the White (C) rectangles and then the Dark Brown (C) rectangles.
Step 2: Use the STOP method to add the White (E) squares on the corners of the Dark Brown (G) rectangles.
Step 3: Sew the White and Dark Brown (B) squares together. Use the STOP method to add the Light Brown (B) squares to the Dark Brown (E) squares. Sew the (BB) units to the top of the (EB) units.
