Did any of you read this blog post about using Pinterest, posted by Diana of Red Delicious Life? This really got me thinking. I have been using Pinterest for quite some time. But my boards really need some housekeeping help.
Then I came across an article by Stephanie of tinyshop.co. Because I am signed up to follow by email, I received this informative guide for Pinterest. If you are a Pinterest Pinner you might find this guide useful! Yes, I am taking to you Lara of BuzzinBumble!
Another interesting read from last week was by Terri Ann of Childlike Fascination. She wrote this post and I thought she made a lot of good points. Do you let visitors know where they are when they land on your blog's home page? Do you greet them at the front door like an old friend? Do you have an About Page so we can get to know a little more about you?
Now it's time to party!
Are you a Pinterest Pinner?
Do you have an About Page on your blog?

my pinterest pages need some housekeeping as well, I started to clean and organize a little bit a month or so ago and then quit - i need to get back to it.
ReplyDeleteJust this morning I created a folder for Blog Tips. I like the idea of a Pinterest Board even better. Thanks for all this wonderful info Lorna... and the linky!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links!
ReplyDeleteAll great posts, Lorna. I put a lot of thought into updating my "About Me" page due to Terri Ann's great article. I always feel welcomed by you, by the way. :)
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a pinner, though not quite as organized as the example you linked to! I have several quilt-related boards as well as may for food and fashion. On my blog, I do have an about page, a result of taking the Blogging University Blogging 101 course. It was great fun, and definitely improved my blog. Terri Ann has some great quilt-specific suggestions though. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSadly, Blogspot often refuses to accept my Wordpress information to leave comments, and your blog is one of the ones that forces me to use G+ or just not comment. It is very frustrating and definitely decreases my interaction with blogspot bloggers. quiltmusings.wordpress.com
Some thought-provoking stuff on these links Lorna; thanks for sharing them. I pin, and have an about page.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these resources! I took a quick look, but I've got them saved to read in depth this evening.
ReplyDeleteLorna, it is pretty funny to be blithely reading along and then find myself being "Pin" pointed, LOL. I will definitely read your articles! My daughter is starting an Etsy shop and she would love those tips on using Pinterest to boost business. Thank you for sharing all those great links with us!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link up. :D It's fun to see everyone's WIP. I will definitely have to clean up my Pinterest. Thank you for the information.
ReplyDeleteI just got the internet back on...so I will get back to those articles! Pinterest always is neglected for me! I actually tweaked my about page yesterday, even added a photo of myself. I had a hard time with it, as I don't really like to 'Toot my own Horn'!
ReplyDeleteLove Pinterest ~ thanks for pointing us in the direction of all the good info!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links, Lorna!
ReplyDeleteI use Pinterest and recently gave it a going through to make it a bit more organized. I find it so handy!
No About Me page... as of yet. ;o)
Thanks for the links!! I just created a board on Pinterest for blogging advice -- been wondering how to keep track of all the wonderful posts I've been reading lately.
ReplyDeleteI go through my Pinterest and purge once a year. But I think I need to do it more often. I sent for her info, now to get time to read it. LOL
ReplyDeleteLorna thank you so much for mentioning my Pinterest Analytics Guide ... I started seeing some familiar quilty-names on my newsletter list and now I know why!
ReplyDeleteYou've been giving out such great advice on these types of topics related to blogging - thanks for being so generous (^_^).
~ Stephanie
Lorna, thanks so much for the shout-out on how I organize pinterest. I really appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteI pin but I don't have an about me page written up.
