This has been one of my best selling patterns. The only trouble is.... It's hard to find suitable background fabric. So I went on Spoonflower and uploaded a similar design, featuring black ants on a white background.
The Sweet Watermelon pattern is available in my Pattern Shop here.
Sweet Watermelon: Sweet and juicy.... Nothing says summer like a fresh cut watermelon! Learn how to strip piece, rotary cut and machine piece the equilateral triangle to make this delectable set of watermelon table decor.
Instructions for each of the three designs is included in this pattern. This charming design uses equilateral triangle piecing to create any of the three samples shown: Long Runner, Hexagon Table Topper, and set of 4 Place Mats
This fresh pattern provides a detailed guide to each aspect in the construction. It is a simple pattern and would be easy for even the most novice quilter to make.
Hope you have a wonderful first day of Summer.
Have a slice of watermelon and enjoy!
Keep On Quilting On!
What a fun pattern! I received this fabric some time ago and was keeping it for THE project! Now your pattern is bought :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun Lorna!!! Some of my guild mates are going to be doing a bit of a program at our next meeting on designing your own fabric using Spoonflower. I am wondering if I could use your pics and info on how you did it for their blog page and FB page? I would link to your blog etc. Would that be okay? I have purchased fabric from SF but not made my own and your watermelon pattern with fabric is just so perfect.
ReplyDeleteLovely! This is really summer for me.
ReplyDeleteI love your low volume ant fabric Lorna and it is the perfect touch for these great watermelon pieces!
