Welcome to the Let's Bee Social!
I keep seeing Buffalo Plaid prints all over the place this year. And I am liking it a whole big lot. The nice thing about this type of plaid is that it lends itself well to being used in a patchwork setting. The first design I came up with was the Moose.
Then I modified my Bear from the MOD Bear Paw quilt and placed him in the popular red and black plaid you will typically see.
I made a couple wolf poses and then wondered how this one would look against a random low volume background instead of the plaid. Above is the sitting wolf and below is the lying wolf.
These plaids are popular in red, green, blue or grey. It's really hard to choose just one!
Lovely plaids, and the sitting wolf is my pick for today.
ReplyDeleteBut...they're not Buffalo!
ReplyDeleteGreat designs - especially love the moose and the bear! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe moose is my fav, a close second is the bear!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE each one of them. Please make the moose soon.
ReplyDeleteMy son and his baby daughter wore matching red and black shirts this past weekend.
Ditto what Dayquilt said - "But...they're not Buffalo!" My absolute favourite animal!
ReplyDeleteThese are great Lorna! Love the larger size versions of these animals!
ReplyDeleteThis is just so creative and would be so awesome in all flannels for a super snuggly manly quilt! My husband would LOVE the wolf version. :)
ReplyDeleteThe moose, the bear, the wolf, how to choose?!
ReplyDeleteI like the animals against the plaid - I like the moose
ReplyDeleteThe moose got me! And I love the plaid too! The combination is perfect this time of the year!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE how the silhouettes stand out against the plaid backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilts.
ReplyDeleteYou are too cool for school, Lorna
Yes!! Love the Moose on the blue! so very cool.
ReplyDeleteLove the sitting wolf!
ReplyDeleteI'm partial to that moose! He is sort of transparent clomp-clomping across the plaid, as moose are wont to do...and yes, I should know, having lived literally amongst them for 13 years on our Alberta acreage. :-) None here in southern Ontario, and oddly enough, very few deer! Great ideas, Lorna!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue moose!!!!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent, the animals look so effective on those plaid backgrounds, nice work!
ReplyDeleteoh Lorna! I love patchwork plaid quilts...way to take it up a notch by adding one of your critters to it!!!! Any of them would look great...I'm thinking your squirrel would be adorable😊
ReplyDeleteThose buffalo prints are wonderful! Great designs...hard to choose!
ReplyDeleteWill the moose pattern be for sale?
