So glad to have you join us for the Let's Bee Social weekly linky party!
This week I have been working on a new design called Jungle Baby. This sweet jungle themed quilt features a forward facing giraffe and a monkey hanging from a leafy green tree branch. And finishes at approximately 35" square.
As soon as I had the prototype pattern finished, I was eager to get into my sewing room and dig through my stash to see what fabrics I had on hand. and then I got to work. Cutting, stitching, pressing and squealing in delight as those adorable faces started to take shape. I can't handle the cuteness!
This wee little quilt comes with instructions to make with or without “BABY”. Or you can purchase my Alphabet pattern to personalize.
Speaking of fabric stash....
This is my first stash addition of the year!
This is my entire order of fabric purchased from Chelsea of Bobbie Lou's Fabric Factory. Chelsea has a great deal on shipping and although my entire order would not fit in the envelope, she sent along the Chipper Chipmunk in a separate envelope at no extra charge. Intending to use these to make my new purse, I bought both of the Raspberry pieces on sale!
6 yards of Out Foxed in White @ $10/yard
2 yards of Fox Nap in Raspberry @ $9/yard
2.5 yards of Woodland Critters in White @ $11/yard
1 yard of Chipper Chipmunk in Raspberry @ $9/yard
And lastly, I would like to share this Elephant Parade quilt made by Sharon. Thank you for sharing your beautiful quilt with us, Sharon!!!
She writes."Hi Lorna. I thought you might like to see my version of Elephant Parade. I made this for a grandson that just turned one."
Now... It's your turn for Show and Tell!!!

ReplyDeleteHi Lorna! That is a happy monkey and the giraffe is so cute! You have picked beautiful new fabrics! I love the foxies but also the othere are perfect!
ReplyDeleteIt has been too hot here and my back is hurting a lot, so haven't enjoyed much sewing. Hope to get back to my sewing room soon because I really miss that. My butterfly project is waiting and I should be busy with that but just couldn't. Hugs! x Teje
I was thinking you have topped the cuteness scale, now you come up with this, wonderful. I just don't know where you get your ideas from.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute new design - love the size of the quilt. Beautiful elephant quilt - love the backing Sharon used with that cute elephant print and the colorful added sashing. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteYour new baby quilt design is adorable! I love it! The fabric you bought is beautiful! The elephant parade quilt is lovely too!
ReplyDeleteGiraffes are my favorite animal and I love all of your different giraffe patterns!
ReplyDeleteThose are great additions to your stash. How awesome to have been able to go until the middle of July before needing and fabric!!!
ReplyDeleteLove love love this new baby quilt. But I love giraffes and monkeys so go figure. If you needed a tester for this one I would volunteer, LOL
ReplyDeleteAnother great design! You never cease to amaze me Lorna. I always enjoy seeing the elephant quilts too, they're still my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteLorna,
ReplyDeleteI love all your animal patterns. Wish I had a baby to sew for, but I keep them all just in case someday I become a grandma.
I have a question for you. Where did you get your little identifier tags that you put on all your quilts that says "Sew Fresh Quilts?"
Thanks,
Debbie
