Welcome to the Let's Bee Social!
So glad to have you join us for the Let's Bee Social weekly linky party!
This week 8 more baby foxes were born! These little foxes were made using Kona Tangerine and Kumquat against a Steel grey background.
This is certainly not the first time I have made these little 8" fox blocks. But it is the first time I have been happy with how the legs on the standing fox were pieced. As you can see in the photo below, the legs used to be made out of two long strips that were then joined along the horizontal seam. When I was making the fox blocks for the first Fox among the Birches quilt, I was not happy with how difficult it is to line up those diagonal legs where they join along that horizontal seam. So I changed how they were pieced and now the leg portion does not have that horizontal seam. Much better!
Now... It's your turn for Show and Tell!!!

ReplyDeleteLove the Kona colors in your new little foxes - and your new way of piecing the one fox. Great idea.
ReplyDeletewhat cute little foxes! love the colors you used for them
ReplyDeleteLorna, I am seriously crushing on those sweet little foxes!! They are adorable, and your color picks are just perfection.

ReplyDeleteThese Foxes are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou are magnificently talented, Lorna, and getting these blocks to look so happy is amazing.
I love those orange foxes. Your piecing is amazing. Thanks for the link up, it is fun to meet some more bloggers.
ReplyDeleteThose little foxes are so sweet (as long as they don't get in the hen house). I really liked the original design, but that piecing change makes the block crisper, and I'm sure, much easier to piece.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute foxes, and well done of the pattern modification, its funny how patterns evolve over time isn't it!
ReplyDeleteHi Lorna,
ReplyDeleteOMG - these little foxes are just too darn cute. My friend just had a baby three weeks ago and name him Fox Edward. I HAVE to show her these little guys - she needs them. ~smile~ Roseanne
I had the page up to comment, Lorna, and my daughters saw your foxes, "Awwwwwww... those are ADORABLE!" So I showed them your IG feed and they LOVE the puppies, too! ; )
