This week I am working on some other ideas of how to use the new pieced Alphabet pattern.
This is the Harcore Quilter wall hanging and will finish at about 35" square. Maybe I will also make one in a half size? Wouldn't that be cute at 18"?
Have you ever made anything using equilateral triangles? It was a couple of years back that I came up with the Sweet Watermelon design, but I do love to see it being revived each time summer comes rolling back around. There are three settings included in this table decor design - place mats, table runner and a hexagonal table topper.
You can find the Sweet Watermelon pattern listed here in my shop.
Now... It's your turn for Show and Tell!!!
What have you been working on?
- Click on at least a few of the others who have linked up.
- In your blog post, please include a link back to my blog.
- Grab the "Let's Bee Social!" button from above and put it on your sidebar. This way others who visit your blog that week can join in the fun! Share the news of this new linky and Let's Bee Social!
- Following Sew Fresh Quilts is not required. But it sure would BEE nice!
Keep On Quilting On!
I had some more cell phone charger holder bags cut out, so sewed them all, and now the freefall leaves are calling so loudly, the date of June 15th is coming all too fast. Love the watermelon pattern, the fabrics in bright pink suit so well.
ReplyDeleteThose watermelon runners/toppers are perfect for summer.
ReplyDeleteSuper new design and ideas! This might be one way of getting my 11" throat sewing machine - sew it :)! Love your watermelon projects!
ReplyDeleteI have done equilateral triangles and like doing them. There are almost endless possibilities for design! Your watermelons are so cute!
ReplyDeleteNow I want watermelon Lorna! :)
ReplyDeleteThat sewing machine pattern looks like a long arm machine. I'm taking a watermelon table topper class on Friday. If I like it, I might have to check out your pattern, to see if it will go with it.
ReplyDeleteLove the watermelons!
ReplyDeleteHi Lorna, for some reason I am having trouble with the link but wanted to share my finished piece today because I am a little partial to it. The linky goes all the way to the done button but then doesn't do it! :) Here is the link http://sewsunshine.blogspot.com/2017/06/triumphal-arches-curvy-challenge.html
ReplyDeleteMy mom would absolutely flip over that watermelon table runner... hmmm, equilateral triangles? will have to add that one to the list. Such a fun summer project!
ReplyDeleteLorna,
ReplyDeleteI couldn't resist posting my latest small elephant block using the pattern on your blog. She went together so easily and quickly. Thank you so much for the pattern. This may never happen again, having 4 projects to link in one week and writing 2 blog posts in one day. Karen
Me again. I got the link up to work. yay me!! :)
ReplyDeleteAnother super cute design! You are on a design roll, coming out with so many beautiful patterns.
ReplyDeleteOh I love your Hardcore Quilter block, I'd definitely have that on my wall! Keep up the great work Lorna :)
ReplyDeleteLove the alphabet. I'm behind in blog reading, so totally missed that. You have earned the title Hardcore Quilter. Keep those designs coming!!
