Welcome to this week's Let's Bee Social!
I have been working on some upcoming quilt pattern designs the past couple of weeks. And can't wait to share more about those in the near future. I am really getting excited to be sewing again after so much time spent sitting at the computer developing patterns and working on the math and the diagrams. A boring but necessary part of what I do!
Just a little sneak peek into what's new around my place.
This is my Friday finish. Hoping for just the right weather conditions for some outdoor photos.
Fall is here....
But will soon be gone.....
These little kitty footprints were left on my front porch on Sunday morning.
What a shock to wake up to find that it had snowed overnight! Of course this was gone by the afternoon. And won't be back again for at least a couple more weeks.

Your tree is just gorgeous! I too have a maple tree in my yard and it is so pretty, the colors and when the sun hits it, it looks like it is on fire. I can not believe you have had snow already, Oh my! Looking forward to seeing the new pattern. Thanks for the linky party, love seeing everyone's work.
ReplyDeleteSnow?!?!? Lorna, I can't believe that, it must be so cold overnight for you - good job you've got a great new bed quilt! Those kitten prints in the snow...hmmm inspiration for a new Sew Fresh Quilts design perhaps?!
ReplyDeleteI have a quilt finish to share too, but finding a nice sunny day this time of year in rainy and gray Northern Germany, is like flipping a coin... you may or may not get it. Congrats on your finish - I look forward to seeing it.
ReplyDeleteBut I have to say that I am so not ready for snow... I guess it's not even on my mind at this time of year, but on the other hand it's nice snuggling in weather - pefect for quilting!
I'm really enjoying all the Cute Dog blocks and quilts showing up. Wow, all that imagination. Yes, I'm glad the snow didn't stay around very long. Love a long Fall :)!!
ReplyDeletebeen awhile since I stopped by but I'm back home now and back in sewing/quilting mode so linking up again
ReplyDeleteIt's probably because I don't attempt it much, but you have amazing machine stitched binding. Any tricks? I feel like I've attempted all of them out there and I always get so so results.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to all of your new patterns!
ReplyDeleteLove those maples! Huge, and glorious, they look like Mother Nature has come along and dipped their tips in orange icing, IMHO. :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous,
ReplyDeleteEverything you make is so adorable
I would love to start the puppy quilt a long but goodness, I have too much on my plate right now. I do love visiting the blogs and admiring the results. You are so generous and brilliant, Lorna
Yep, snow happens.
Humans think they are in charge of the climate, and are responsible for what happens --- but we are not. Enjoy the Fall, and winter, That is what is great about life, we can wear different stuff through out the year. :-D
What beautiful fall color on those trees! Snow...while pretty, I'm not looking forward that!
ReplyDeleteIt is always so refreshing to get back to sewing after pattern writing! I hope the weather provides a great opportunity to photograph your latest finish. And brr! Snow!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you have snow already! I am defnitely not ready for snow. We recently moved and the new house doesn't have heat upstairs yet, which will be a problem if it gets cold quick (we put our bedroom upstairs). I'll be happy for a few more weeks of sunny warm days.
ReplyDeleteI love that alligator background!! I'm going to have to get that new pattern for my little boy! :)
ReplyDeleteI saw your alligator on Etsy, so cute. Beautiful leaves on that maple. I am heading North next week but not as far as you are North. They say the trees are beutiful and I checked the weather and it will be in the 50s and 60s, brrrrrrrrrr, that is cold for this Florida girl so snow would be really cold for me. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteAm new to your blog and I am loving the cute doggie blocks! Will be sure to come back!
ReplyDeleteGot to love gators! ;)
ReplyDeleteyou've had snow already?!!! crazy. enjoy those amazing fall colors while they last - so pretty.
ReplyDeleteby the way, your dog gone cute block is too cute! today was the first time i'd seen it. i really love the light blue and grey combo on your tutorial page. and i'm not even a dog person! lol. but put anything in a quilt and i guess it works, right?
For Barking out loud! Snow already! LeeAnna
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to see your new finished quilt - love the binding! Thanks for hosting the link up. :)
ReplyDeleteI heard Ontario received snow. We had a little bit in a few areas here, but we were fortunate not to get any. I'm not ready for winter. Can't wait for the big reveal so we can see what you have been working on.
ReplyDeleteI love the kitty footprints! Great photo.
ReplyDeleteWow - snow! WE are still in the eighties and dry as a bone here in Texas. Love those tree shots, we don't get that here too often.
ReplyDeleteYou make the best quilts. :) I really love the binding for that one. :)
ReplyDeleteSnow!? My goodness! Here, in southern California, yesterday it finally was cool enough to turn off the a/c and open the windows. Right now, at almost 9 PM, its 71 degrees outside. Since we haven't had cool weather, the trees in our backyard haven't turned to fall colors much yet.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog, thanks for sharing the beauty you make.
Snow? That is crazy!! I am just loving the feeling of fall in the air. Our trees are turning and the nights are cool. Hurray!! Now if only it would rain.
ReplyDeleteSnow?! You definitely shouldn't allowed that to happen. Look forward to seeing the mystery quilt unfurled.
ReplyDeleteHey Lorna! Thanks for the link up. The leaves on the trees are amazing! No doubt you'll get lots of snow in your neck of the woods this winter!
