What would I say in a blog post? I would say...
Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you Lorna for sharing your awesome pattern and the inspiration for this mini-quilt. You inspired me to not only try this type of piecing but also the flanged binding...love them both. It is so amazing to see how far reaching this quilt-a-long has gone...your puppies keep popping up everywhere in the cyber world. Congratulations.
Thanks,
Cheryl Bloemberg
Then Cheryl wrote back to me again....
Further to my email the other day, I want to share my latest project. Obviously it still needs to be quilted and bound.
As the saying goes... "Go Big or go Home". I wasn't ready to leave your linky party quite yet so went supersized. The dog block alone measures 38" x 27". Took a lot of math and some stitch ripping (I'm not that great with math) to get this one just right. Using scraps I had on hand, I pieced this big guy together. If you have any suggestions on how to quilt this guy, I'd love to hear them.
I included my original Dog Gone Cute project using the small pups to give a sense on how big this dog is.
Again, thanks for sharing this awesome pattern. It was fun to make and fun to see how other interpret your pattern as well. Your creativity and talent are awe inspiring.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Bloemberg
