Sunday Stash

Unlike my previous Sunday Stash from Canadian National Fabric, this week's Sunday Stash is a bit of an eclectic mix. Some chosen to enhance that previous purchase. And some to be used in my Krazy Katz 2.0 design.

These little numbers are going to be the basis for my palette in the Krazy Katz 2.0.  From the Emma collection by Timeless Treasures: 2 yards of 1739 in Ivory, 1.25 yards of 1738 in Melon, 0.25 yards of 1738 in Oregano and 0.25 yards of 1737 in Coral

I also picked up 4 yards of Garden Aquarella from the Naturella collection by Art Gallery Fabrics (because I thought it will be a pretty backing fabric for something someday. And you CANNOT beat the price!) and 1/4 yard cuts of 30890 in Green from the Old New Fabric Collection 30's for Lecien Corp, Coral Plaid from the Unity collection for Clothworks, Medium Size Rose on Light Yellow from the Wild Rose collection for Clothworks, and 30887 in Pink from the Old New Fabric Collection 30's for Lecien Corp.

1 yard of Black Dotty Branches from the Bear Essentials collection for P&B Textiles, 1/2 yard of Copen Small Dots from the Spot On Pearl collection for Robert Kaufman, 1/2 yard of Floral in Brown from the Civil War Times Miniatures collection for Penny Rose Fabrics (for the bookshelf in the background of the Krazy Katz 2.0) and 1/4 yard cuts of 95-6 and 96-8 from the Secrets and Shadows collection for Windham Fabrics.

Canadian National Fabric has done it again!
They have all these fabulous S's going for them...

I am so pleased by the service provided by Bebe...
Shipping was free because the order was over $50.
And I even remembered to use my "Stash for Cash" points to save!

Check out their New Arrivals!

As I stated earlier in this post, some of these prints were chosen to be used for a remake of my daughter's Krazy Katz quilt. This version, Krazy Katz 2.0 is a baby quilt size and only has two cats.

Krazy Katz 2.0 a baby quilt sized 40" x 54"

Whereas the original quilt was a double bed size and used appliqué, this pattern will be entirely pieced and made in a crib size 40" x 54". This colouring page looks like a lot of fun! What colour of cats would you make?

Keep On Quilting On!

  4. I love these fabrics, especially the pinks. I would make the cats based on my two favorite real life cats: Silver Tabby/Manx and Siamese/Manx. So, no tails! Best. Cats. Ever.
It will be adorable, whatever you do!

  5. Lorna, I would make it in the same colors you chose. It will Make a sweet baby quilt. If I was making it for a baby boy I would use geens or blues naturally. ;) Debbie

  6. Those pinks are luscious! This quilt design could be used for a boy as well. With a royal blue border, and perhaps some "sky" print in the center, orange tabby cats would really pop!
