This little treat is just the right size. Perfect for when you would like a little more than a charm pack. It's half the size of a layer cake; 42 pieces of 5" x 10" cuts from these great Moda collections. Each Jolly Bar comes with an exclusive Fat Quarter Shop coordinating pattern.
And that's not all!
When I was offered the opportunity to take part in the Jolly Bar Blog Hop, it was not easy to choose only one collection from that yummy selection. But I managed....
Lakeside Gatherings by Primitive Gatherings.
Lakeside Gatherings has a masculine feel, with the navies and greys, and those cool anchor prints. I love the visual interest afforded by the checked and woven prints, too. Those are all offset by a bit of brightness with the yellows, creams and off white prints.
This handsome little thing was a quick put together. Only 1 fat quarter was needed for background, a half yard for binding, and 1.5 yards for backing. Perfect for a last minute baby shower gift!
I just straight line quilted with my walking foot along the seam lines and double outlined the little white diamonds. The background, binding and backing were all straight out of my stash.
approximately 36" x 48" |
