What is your WORD for 2014? Have you seen any posts on this subject popping up in your blog feed? While visiting over at Val's Quilting Studio, I was delighted to see her word for 2014 in action. She created a small sampler quilt to represent what this word means to her. Even better, she has inspired me to take part in this challenge put out by Victoria Findlay Wolfe! I wish to ENCOURAGE you all to swing by Val's and check it out!
For those of you who missed it, I would also like to ENCOURAGE you to pop on over and enter my giveaway, sponsored by Pam of Mad About Patchwork.
I just want to thank everyone who was kind enough to contribute some suggestions for finishing my Modern Charm quilt that I posted about last week. I had been thinking of using a dark backing, but your overwhelming response tells me that choosing one of the bright charm square colours from the front would be a much better choice. There were also sew many wonderful suggestions for quilting. I appreciate all your help!
Last week, I had a wonderful time buzzing around to see what you all were sharing. I hope you did too. Most participants have been exceptionally friendly bees. Please keep in mind that the point of this linky is to ENCOURAGE and be social. Not just fly in and buzz off again. It is my sincere hope that this linky party will be a blessing to all who participate. And please know that I really appreciate your support!
Now it's time to link up!
For fun, PLEASE, when asked to name your link, I ENCOURAGE you to JUST USE ONE WORD.
Keep On Quilting On!
My apologies! I accidentally wrote instead of only ONE word, 3...Thanks for hosting!

ReplyDeleteI think that your word couldn't suit you any better! You truly are a big ENCOURAGER!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, Lorna! I'll be back to bee social tonight.
ReplyDeleteYou are truly the hostess with the mostest. You know I am not sure mostest is a word but I've heard this saying for years, but guess I have never written it before today. Anyway THANKS for hosting
ReplyDeleteI have a problem with perfectionism. I find it sometimes keeps me stuck for days. My word for this year is "itlldo" - IT WILL DO :) Not that I am not going to try to increase skills or try to do the best I can do, sometimes it is just better to say itlldo :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link up Lorna!
ReplyDeletethose foxes are just too cute, so adorable this quilt
ReplyDeleteI am so behind! I wish I had a 'word' to live by! It makes me think I should!
ReplyDeleteMy word is positive and apparently I can't read directions. :x Whoops! I like "encourage", I think it suits you.
ReplyDeleteI've nothing to show off this week, Laura (except for my ski moves on the slopes in France! ) but I love your party and will drop by and see what everyone's been up to. Au revoir :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the new linky. I LOVE your fox quilt. I may have to make a simplified one for my son's teacher, Mrs. Fox.
