Quilt Along - Update 2

First - the good news....

I am down to my last 8 rows.  That is all I have left to do and this top is done!

Second - the not so good news....

But I would not consider it bad news.  I did want to share with you that I made a small mistake.  Sorry.  It's hard to admit it.  I am human.  But it is not a serious one.

In the cutting instructions given on June 21st in the Second Blog Post
For the Accent fabric, I originally had

Accent fabric, cut
-          3, 3” strips and crosscut into 3” squares (14 squares per strip x 3 = 42 pcs)
-          1, 2 ½” strip and crosscut into 2.5" squares (16 pcs)

WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE READ:
Accent fabric, cut
-          3, 3” strips and crosscut into 3” squares (14 squares per strip x 3 = 42 pcs)
-          3, 2 ½” strips and crosscut into 2.5” squares (48 squares)
-          1, 2 ½” strip (DO NOT Crosscut. For Use in STEP 1)

So if you have already cut your fabric...
you will need to add an additional 2, 2 ½" strips and crosscut into 2.5" squares
and one 2 ½" strip NOT crosscut.  For use in step 1 with feature fabric to make 9 patch strips.

I have updated the blog post to show the correct cutting instructions.  AND the fabric requirements for the Accent fabric will also need to be slightly larger than 1/2 yard as this now brings the total to 19".

I apologize for the error.  I am truly sorry.  And hope this does not cause undue confusion or panic.
If there is confusion or panic, please don't hesitate to leave me a comment or email me at sewfreshquilts (at) gmail (dot) com.

Please forgive me,
Lorna:)

  2. You know - if we were all perfect and never made mistakes it wouldn't be HANDMADE art. You fixed it up and I'm sure you'll still be loved. :)

    1. NO! Don't throw them in the bin, Julianne. Well, you can if you like,
but you need them plus two strips more... crosscut into 2.5" squares.
Sorry for the confusion. I do love your sense of humour though!

I'm sorry for the mistake.... But it could have been sew much worse!
Hope you do have enough of the accent fabric to make the additional
      strips required!
