Out Foxed by a Squirrel

This quilt is not my first finish. Obviously.

It's also not my first finish to include a fox.

It's not my first finish to include a squirrel either.

However, this may be my first attempt at using perspective in quilt design. The fox is standing on the ground. Gazing up into the trees. We are looking down on the fox from the perspective of the squirrels. As though we were perched high in the treetops too!

The backing was pieced using this wintery nature print by Northcott Fabrics, and a self-designed feather pattern, printed through Spoonflower a long time ago.

I thought this was appropriate for a backing because there are foxes and squirrels included!

Again this quilt was a great use of stash fabrics. Doing my best to continue to quilt from stash this year!

  2. Very cute. I wonder what the fox is thinking...I'm sure the squirrels are looking down and laughing at him. ☺

  3. This is really cute Lorna! If you replaced the fox with my dog...it would be identical to my back yard on a daily basis! hahaha!
