It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
And making this sweet set of quilt and matching toddler pillowcase was so much fun!

The bird print is Robin in the Hood by Michael Miller Fabrics. The leafy green print for the accent is from the Hopscotch collection by Jamie Fingal for RJR Fabrics and the polka dots are from Riley Blake.
And you can find all these and other details from my in progress post here.
I relished choosing the fabrics. I revelled in the delight of an easy and simple design. I enjoyed the easy piecing. And then the relaxing session of organic wavy line quilting and binding.
Enjoyment is what keeps me making.

I did a matched binding for this because I did not want to frame this quilt, but simply FINISH it. You can find my binding tutorials here.
This little set of freshness is what makes me happy. Love those cool blues and greens. The silly birds in the print and all their little eggs. Just looking at this quilt and matching pillowcase makes me smile a mile!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable baby quilts and pillowcases! Lorna, do you have any idea where I can still get a couple yards of the blue birdie fabric? My youngest daughter just told us that she is pregnant and I called her "Birdie" when she was little. I've searched a few sites to try and locate some but no luck. Maybe you could suggest a place to look? Thanks!
