Vintage Wedding Quilt

The Vintage Wedding Quilt is done and is now listed for sale in my shop here!

The backing is from the Urban Artifacts collection by RJR Fabrics, which you can view here.  I am simply in LOVE with this print! The colours, the dots, the flowers and the text. It is just such a fun print!

Unfortunately... It is also all gone. I used the last pieces from my stash, along with a strip of Kona Coal to join the pieces along the vertical.

I wish I had used a dark grey print for the jacket to provide a greater contrast with the suit pants. But I love that fun rain drop print and do appreciate the subtle difference.

The same fabric from the suit pants was used for the binding.

The quilting was performed using a light grey on top and plain white thread in the bobbin

The "Vintage Wedding" quilt finished at 60" x 73"
and was the 69th use of my 2nd edition of 100 labels
ordered from Ikaprint.

What I really like about this pattern is that you can choose the same feature colour used by the Bride to make your memory quilt gift for the happy couple!

The Vintage Wedding Quilt finishes at 60" x 73".

Want to make your own?

You can find the pattern here.

  7. I made a quilt for our son's wedding last year and than appliqued hearts and squares that wedding guest had signed. This would be a great quilt for that.

  11. On wedding day, I had a complimentary attendant, who was helpful in getting my husband and myself champagne, and she also made sure that we were eating. I gave my heartfelt appreciation to the staff at wedding venues here for their tremendous effort in making our day the most special day of our lives.
