International Plowing Match 2016

I'm gearing up for the main event this month!

It's the International Plowing Match QUILT SHOW!

Lots of people have been asking me.... What is going on?

I keep saying the International Plowing Match is in August.
But they are showing a date for September on the website.

I have to admit, even I was a little confused at first.
But now that I have it all figured out...

Let's clear this up!

The event that I will be attending is the QUILT SHOW!
I mean... Tractor pulls are exciting but they won't draw me in like a quilt show will.

Harriston Curling Club
111 George St. South,
Harriston, ON, CAN
Friday, August 19th - 10 am to 6 pm
Saturday, August 20th - 10 am to 4 pm

The Wellington County IPM 2016 "A Fresh Taste of Quilting" Quilt Show and Competition will feature themed categories for wall and group quilts that reflect original interpretations of modern quilting. Entries have now closed. The committee is proud to announce that 140 quilts have been entered. All will be showcased at "A Fresh Taste of Quilting" show in Harriston on August 19 – 20, at the Harriston Curling Club. The admission price is $7 and tickets will be available at the door.

  2. Yes, quilts are my thing, but the tractor pull has always been a fun family thing. I remember one year we got the best seat in the house (for a change), only to find out it was cancelled that year :0! I'm really looking forward to seeing all the quilts this time around and your booth especially!

  3. Good Morning!
Our community hosted the plotting match a few years ago. The quilt tent was very popular and I did some volunteering there. Have fun at the quilt show.
Your link up is not working this morning. Hopefully, you can get it fixed soon!

  5. Wish I were close enough to attend. Now, if there would be curling, too, I'd be there in a heartbeat all the way from Tennessee!

  7. I will probably be there with my little munchkin in tow :)
I was confused regarding the dates as well until I got that Rural Roots magazine in the mailbox and read the 2 page article about the quilt show... in my opinion I don't think they advertised very well, I haven't seen any flyers in quilt shops from Harrowsmith to London (and I've hit quite a few lately!). Good luck with your booth and I will hopefully see you there :)
