Let's Bee Social #128

Welcome to the Let's Bee Social!
I am so glad to see you here this week and hope you are ready to party!

I have been working on a few more mini mini quilts. Again.

In my mini mini madness, I decided to revisit some of the blocks from the Forest Friends pattern. After working on the Cougar block and making a mini mini quilt for Sarah of Cedar Fork Stitches, I was inspired to make some of those other woodland animals into mini form.

You can find the MINI Forest Friends pattern in my shop here

I'll be sharing my mini Forest Friends in a post this Friday. And some in process pictures of how I manage the tiny finishes. Just in case you want to join in the madness that is the mini mini craze. In the interest of disclosure... I have to warn you. They are so addicting!!! And there's still plenty of time to enter the challenge being hosted by Make Modern Magazine!

The mini mini quilt craze has been sweeping across Instagram for a while now. Not all of us are on Instagram, so I thought it would be great if we could ALL participate in the party.

Here you will find the Never Ending Mini Mini Quilt Linky Party. I am hoping you will give mini mini making a try. I had so much fun making these wee little mini mini quilts.
And now have plans for so many more!

Well, Hello there! This is the Dog Gone Cute quilt made by Jane Keene. She was so sweet to send me an email and offered to share a photo of her finished quilt top with all of us here.

What I love about this quilt is that Jane added a gorgeous border and enough blocks to make this a full size bed quilt. Jane says, "The quilt when finished will go to a local dog rescue for a raffle. Those dogs are addictive. My husband didn't think I would ever finish. I made it in 30 days while working full time. Not bad really. Please visit my Facebook page at The Quilting Bee BuzzThe girls would be tickled to see a comment from the designer. Thanks again!"

For any of you who would like to make your own Dog Gone Cute quilt, please be aware that this is a free quilt along and all the info can be found here.

Like I mentioned last week, I really should take care of these bonus HST (Half Square Triangles) that were cut offs from making the Raccoon quilt. But they are going into a bin because......

The FABRIC for the Modernitional Bear Paw quilt is here!!!!

Thanks to the generosity of Northcott Fabrics.

It's your turn for Show and Tell!!!

  2. Would you believe I have never made a mimi, let alone a mini mini. I'mi tempted to join in, but I have to finish Bluebell Woods for my great reveal on the 2016 New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop which starts this Monday, 13th June. After that I promise you my first mini mini.
