ReplyDeleteI have just gotten out of my solids craze. I still am doing a few things with solids but I am now incorporating many more prints once again. I truly find that my taste in fabrics is ever changing and evolving. If I must give an answer than I'd pick prints at this time.

The answer - both. Whether together or separate if it's the right color it's used.
I use both solids and prints, but prefer prints. I'd choose a tone on tone "print" before a solid in most cases because I like the visual texture better. However, I have made some projects in solids only.
