On Monday I attended my very first Trunk Show!
I met with the ladies of the Goderich Quilters' Guild at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 109 in nearby Goderich, Ontario shortly after lunch time.
And had a wonderful afternoon....
Met lots of friendly folks and enjoyed the day spent talking about fabric, and quilts and quilting.

In the background you can see one of the guild's quilts on display. They will be selling raffle tickets for this beautiful quilt, hoping to raise money to further the guild's charity work and to help out the local women's shelter.
These ladies made me feel right at home among their group of about 30 members. Hope we can get together again for a workshop sometime in the near future! Thank you Goderich Quilters' Guild!

I have only once had the chance to get together with other quilters, and loved it! It looks like you were in good company! It is fun to see tables full of your quilts, and recognize each one!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis just looks like it would be such a fun event! Quilting is not very widely known in Germany, and I often just get blank stares from people when I try to explain anything quilting related. When I do get the chance to be around other people who are at least on the same page, it's always a delight.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the trunk show! Looks like so much fun! And thanks as always for hosting the link up. I love looking at what everyone is working on!
