Let's Bee Social #55

Midweek news.  Yesterday I posted this photo and shared about my source of inspiration for this baby quilt design.  I also wrote about the processes I followed to arrive at this point.  You can read that post here.

Happily, Northcott Fabrics is as excited to see this come to life as I am, and will be sponsoring this project.  I can hardly wait to see those bright solids from their ColorWorks cottons collection become shaped into these adorable animals!   Hmmmm..... I'm thinking the making of these blocks would be great material for a tutorial or two.  What do you think?

Is anyone up for a Quilt Along?
Let's have some ELEPHUN!

Beginning in February, I plan to show a block each week and would like to encourage you to quilt along and test them out.  You can try out as many or as few blocks as you like.  Make a quilt or make a mini.  Make a cushion.  Make whatever your imagination leads you to make!

A quilt along button has been added to the right sidebar.  If you are interested in quilting along, please add the button to your blog and help to spread the word.

  15. "Elephun" Hee hee hee. Lorna, this is wonderful all around! I love the playfulness of your design and now how cool that you are going to do Elephant Parade as a Quilt-along!!! And how cool that Northcott is sponsoring you! I foresee an upswing in sales for that great Ed Emberley elephant fabric. I have to go buy some now. LOL One of the things on my very long "to do" list is to make another baby quilt, so count me in! I probably won't finish in time, but it will be fun attempting. Thank you for doing this for all of us!
