I'm taking part in the Best of 2018 Linky Party with my super smart and gifted quilting pal Cheryl of MeadowMistDesigns. "To take part in the link party, simply write a new blog post highlighting your "best" 5 posts from 2018 and linkup.  There is no set way or rules to pick your best, you can pick and highlight your posts anyway you would like. "

The Linky Party days are Dec. 26 to Jan. 02

I'm taking part in the Black & White Blog Hop with my favourite sweet country chick Carla of Creatin'intheSticks. "Sew something black & white. This is your interpretation of the theme. I'm not going to say you have to have a project that is 100% black & white. Make it white with a black stripe, make it black with a white stripe, make it black & white with a pink accent. It's up to you! Inspire us."

The blog hop days are Jan. 21-24

I'm also taking part in the Show Your Wings Blog Hop with my dearest longtime blogging buddy Carol of JustLetMeQuilt. "This project must involve wings or elements that fly. That means it can have... Flying geese (yes, that counts!)
Birds of any kind
Butterflies or dragonflies
Airplanes or helicopters
Fairies or dragons
I think you get the picture, don't you?"

The blog hop days are Feb. 18-21

NEWS ALERT!

I was contacted by Carole of FromMyCarolinaHome.com to ask for your help. She would like to do a coordinated push for the Carolina Hurricane Quilt Project in January and is asking for finished bed size quilts. Are you able to help? Click here for the details!

Here are the facts: The latest reports are that over 4500 homes have been totally destroyed and more than 700,000 homes have sustained damage mainly by flooding.

Carole says, "So, as you might guess, we need a lot of quilts. We are asking for twin, full or queen size quilts, as the need is so great that each household can only receive one quilt. Likely most will not receive a quilt at all unless we have a huge response to this project. The project will continue through summer of 2019, so there is plenty of time to make and ship, or drop off a quilt. Please contact me if you have questions at frommycarolinahome (at) gmail (dot)com and thank you for considering this request."

Very exciting about a double quiltalong!
I'm probably the only person on the planet that doesn't know anything about Harry Potter... haven't read a book or seen a movie, but will follow along and enjoy the fun!

You are super busy! I'm just now getting around to putting together the Holly Jolly blocks I made! Better late (really late) than never at all and since it's the holiday season, I figured this is the perfect time to finish it!

Have fun with the QAL. I think I have too much on the go in January, so I think I have to pass. It looks great.
