Let's Bee Social #188

Welcome to the Let's Bee Social!
So glad to have you join us for the Let's Bee Social weekly linky party!

Apparently I am over the giraffes.... For now....
But could not get over the rainbow theme!

It was only a few weeks ago that I received an email from Carla who wrote, "I just finished your elephant quilt and loved it. Do you have a unicorn quilt that is blocked and not appliquéd. My daughter loves unicorns and has requested one with unicorns. Thanks!"

So I set to work on designing this Rainbow Unicorn....

The Rainbow Unicorn pattern comes in 3 sizes: 12", 24" and 48" finished.

I made the 24" quilt top first....

And then I wanted to make the wee little 12" quilt.

And here they are together. So cute!

You can find the Rainbow Unicorn pattern here.

Hope to be sharing a couple of finished Rainbow Unicorn quilts soon!

Now... It's your turn for Show and Tell!!!

  3. Another beautiful design. I remember our girls playing with their Rainbow Bright dolls and horses - and the cute unicorns among them. So, so sweet, Lorna!

  5. Hi, my name is Tish and I am a Sew Fresh Quilts pattern junkie. I know I have a problem, but I'm pretty sure I do not want help :) Lorna, this is great! If I ever have a prayer of converting my teenage daughter to quilting it will be this block...or maybe I could just make it for her for her birthday. Congrats on another great pattern!

  7. Cute! I was hoping to use your zebra pattern for my grandbaby to be (due in Feb) but, my DIL chose Peter Pan for the theme, and there are no zebra's in Peter Pan (crocodiles). Not much Peter Pan stuff out there anywhere. Oh well. Maybe I can make the zebra for when the child is older.

  12. I love your unicorn! I've seen a lot of paper pieced unicorns but yours is the first I've seen that is traditionally pieced. Great pattern!
