Today I wanted to show you a photo of the Santa's Reindeer pillows made by my friend, Susan.
I met Susan this past fall when I was teaching a workshop for the London Friendship Quilters' Guild. Each of the participants got to choose to make whatever they wanted from one of my patterns. And Susan chose the Santa's Reindeer. She made two sets of these sweet pillow - one for each of her girls.
This Santa's Reindeer block is one of the blocks included in the new "Have a Jolly Little Christmas" quilt along for 2017. This past Saturday I posted the instructions for the first block - Christmas Stockings and I am so excited to see those blocks being tagged on Instagram and even posted to my Facebook page. The response to this free quilt along has been amazing!!! The free colouring pages have been downloaded over 1000 times!!!
In the meantime, I have been busily sewing all of my own blocks into table runners and quilts and will have my first finish of 2017 coming in a post this Friday!
Now... It's your turn for Show and Tell!!!

ReplyDeleteHi, Lorna! I'm hoping your new year is off to a great start. These reindeers are really cute pillows. I'm planning on sewing along on this quilt pattern. It's so cute. I've finished the Modernitional Bear Paw and my grand nephew loved it. I'll be posting pics of it soon. Thanks for sharing this wonderful pattern with us. Your creativity, the amount of quilts you finish, and the number of new patterns you create continue to amaze me! You truly are a gift to the quilting world. You must have a maid because I can't imagine you have time for cooking and cleaning. Karen
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear there are lots of people participating in the QAL. I'm hoping to get to the first block this weekend. There are so many things online that I want to make, but there is just not enough hours in the day to do it all. Can't wait for retirement!!
