Stepping Stones Christmas table runner

At the Let's Bee Social this week, I shared a mock up of the Stepping Stones block in red and green. And that was it....  I just had to make one!

There is a free tutorial for this Stepping Stones block here.
And the block pattern has been added to my shop here.

The block finishes at 10" square
and the pattern includes instructions for making the block
using a single colour, two colours, or in multicolour.

I was so inspired while playing around on my EQ7, in laying this one out in a Christmas themed colourway.... And just had to get right to work on making my mom a new runner this year!

I don't have very many prints to choose from in my stash, but I managed to find the three reds and three greens needed. Then I found this lovely piece of Toscana from Northcott Fabrics for the backing.

I quilted using plain white thread on top and in the bobbin. And am so pleased with how this runner turned out! It reminds me of peppermint!

Now I think I'd like to make another one for my MIL. This time using solids!

The "Stepping Stones Christmas" table runner finished at 13.5" x 43.5"
and was the 15th use of my 2nd edition of 100 labels
ordered from Ikaprint.
