I miss my Elephant Parade quilt that I made, and sold, in January. Being as this has been such a popular pattern, I thought it sure would be nice to have in my line up for Trunk Shows or to bring along should anyone decide to schedule a workshop for it. So this weekend I cut and pieced a new top. And have ordered the Elephants in Gray for the backing.
This quilt is sure looking cute in these bright and fresh prints. But it is so strange to see something I created that isn't made from solids. I really have to try this more often!

Another darling quilt Lorna!! Love that cute bear.ReplyDelete
sometimes when I sell a quilt or give one away I miss it for awhile but I don't think I have ever made it again - this quilt does look like a keeper for your collection!ReplyDelete
I haven't had a chance to make Elephant Parade, and you're already on your second one. I need more time to sew!!ReplyDelete
Lorna, thanks for the linky. I visited some new bloggers today and that's always fun!ReplyDelete
I will never be tired of seeing this quilt! You made the right call on making it again. It is hard to use prints when solids are the favorite, but you did it!ReplyDelete
You're right - everyone *does* love an elephant parade! We've been super busy and on the go lately, so my post this week is on how to pack a quilting-to-go bag for paper piecing. Such a fun but busy summer!ReplyDelete
Wow! You whipped those up quickly! I'm sort of in love with the little froggy on your Elephant Parade quilt. He looks a little stunned to be among so many huge elephants. Thanks for hosting the link up!ReplyDelete
I am so glad that you could make a new elephant quilt. That design is so neat that you deserve to have one around to look at yourself! I love the bees in your new pattern, too.ReplyDelete

It would take me months to do those quilts, you seem to quilt at the speed of light!ReplyDelete
I'm sure the people you'll present your trunk show to will love your Elephant Parade quilt!
Good work on two more quilt tops!
Lorna, how on earth did you finish that elephant piece in a weekend's time? That is amazing!!ReplyDelete
I can understand why you had to create another elephant quilt; it is amazing, it just contains such brilliant character and instantly makes me oooohhh and awwwwww. I have several other quilts that must be finished before I can make one myself....but I am so excited about it. Thank you so much for sharing this magnificent quilt and pattern. Have a wonderful day!ReplyDelete
This is still one of my favorites!!ReplyDelete
